Unfortunately Steven Seagull did not return in the spring of 2022. We are all very disappointed. We are hoping that one of his offspring will stop by and take his place. He is greatly missed. [Jodi Chambers, 03/14/2020]A persistent bird, Steven has been tapping on the front door of a motel since 2001. He knows he'll probably get some food.
Steven Seagull is still knocking on our front door after 19 years! So many people have asked how we know it's the same bird. He knocks -- and if we don't hear him, he squawks loudly. He also chases the other gulls away. He leaves in mid-November and returns in mid-March. We know it may not be many more years, but we wait each Spring for him to return.

According to the front desk, Steven still comes around. I waited about 15 minutes and a seagull came within about a foot of the door. Did not tap but maybe wasn't that hungry. Would have to say that's pretty close.
