The Kellogg Rejuvenators
The machines in the Welcome Center are amazing. You can try them out and play with them. As non-Adventists, this was perfect. We went on the tour per the recommendation of the people who worked there. The tour is more about Adventist history than about Kellogg himself. If you're not an adventist, the tour may not be for you. But the machines were worth the visit!
[Abbey, 10/05/2023]This is more about the forming of the Seventh Day Adventist church and their prophet Ellen White than it is about cornflakes. I was hoping for more cornflakes but it is very informative about the Adventists.
[D. White, 05/19/2015]Kellogg Discovery Center
Amazing Kellogg Discovery Center with rejuvenation machines Kellogg invented. Has large area outside -- the Historic Adventist Village -- where houses from the 1800's have been moved and restored. Learned a lot about the history because a tour came in while we were there and the man, who was a preacher, stayed with us after to talk more about the buildings and history. You can also use some of the machines in the center. Learned that Kellogg had a bird that learned to swear, among other odd stories.
[Nyx, 11/24/2009]Mecca for Seventh Day Adventists! Begin at the John Harvey Kellogg Discovery Center and see some of the actual machines used at the Battle Creek Sanitarium. See the room in the restored 1856 home where Ellen White had her revelations. Sing 19th Century hymns with the re-enactors in the replicated 1857 Meeting House. But don't ask about the "Great Disappointment."
