Giant Yellow Pencil

Much like the giant cigar, this giant yellow pencil is in front of the Wytheville Office Supply Store. It appears to be a 20- 25-foot-long wooden yellow pencil like people have used forever. Down the street is The Paint Store with a giant can of paint for its sign; across the street is Skeeter's World Famous Hot Dogs (a Wytheville tradition); and the Edith Boling Wilson house/hotel is nearby.

Big Pencil

A wonderful town to explore -- the big pencil is only one of quite a few worthwhile odd attractions. I visited here based on the tip for this very cool, very huge pencil and ended up spending hours around the area. I love old, oversized 3D advertisements!
