Owners of a blueberry-themed shop and bakery went refreshingly overboard when it came to construction and decoration. Don't miss the indoor throne photo op.

I had heard about this roadside wonder for years. It's in great shape and certainly can't be missed. Everything is blue, for sure. I walked around the outside for a good 45 minutes before going inside. So much to behold and chronicle.
When you enter, the aroma of fresh baked goods greets you; it is a bakery and you can buy blueberry baked pies, cookies, scones, candies, etc. I talked with the pie maker and she said she was baking 40 pies that day, but her record was 70! We ordered a double-crusted gluten-free pie, and came back for it the next day, and it was delicious.
The Wild Blueberry Land Throne is still there and makes a great photo op. The very blue mini-golf course looks a bit forlorn (save your money and buy a blueberry oatmeal cookie instead) but a walk around the golf course with your camera yields some funky photos. Definitely a cool find along the road in the Wild Blueberry Capital of the World.

It's there; it's real; it's kitschy.
[Kyr-Roger St.-Denis, 12/29/2009]Wild Blue Berry Land on Route 1 is in what I believe is the largest Wild Blueberry in the world. It is surrounded by smaller berries. Inside one can purchase all types of wild blueberry-themed items, from food to earrings. In front is also the largest blueberry rake I have ever seen.
[David Orbeton, 08/24/2006]There is a giant blueberry in the historic village of Columbia Falls, ME. Everything blueberry is sold there (this region is famous blueberry country). We residents can now use it as a landmark to give directions. "Oh yeah, just turn by the giant blueberry!"
