Richmond, Indiana: Madonna of the Trail

The Madonna of the Trail is a stony-faced pioneer Mom, in long skirt and bonnet, strutting westward with an infant in her arms. A recurring piece of public statuary striding across America.

Madonna of the Trail

The Madonna of the Trail is at one of the entrances to Glen Miller Park. It is a huge park, with a pond, shelters for picnics, tennis courts, a splash pad, and a place to collect spring water. And when it snows, Roosevelt Hill is the place to be!
