Sly Stallone as the movie boxer, frozen in bronze with his arms raised in victory. The Art Museum refused to put it at the top of its steps, where Rocky stands in the 1976 film. It's Philly's most popular work of art.

There will be a line, but it's worth it. Be careful who you hand your camera or phone to. The vagrants will expect a tip for taking your picture, or worse they'll run off with your expensive hardware. After visiting the statue be sure to run the steps (72 total) and celebrate with fist pumps at the top. There is also a marker at the top with the Rocky logo and his shoe prints.

Busy. Expect a line. Street parking. Beware of the people trying to charge you to take pictures. These are not employees. It is still common practice to ask the person next in line.

Lots of folks running up the stairs (including my family) and bouncing around at the top. That was no big surprise. What was a surprise were all the people waiting in line to get their picture taken with the statue.

The Art Museum steps are so easy to run up in a Rocky-like fashion. It was no surprise to see a good amount of people doing it while we were there. We saw everyone from tourists to exercisers, to men in business suits doing the Rocky victory fist pump at the top of the stairs. The view towards historic Philly is amazing and a great back drop for you Rocky poses.
The Rocky statue is down the stairs and towards your immediate left. Beautiful area for picture taking.
