One more attraction awaits you up the road from the famous Edisto mattress and Mystery tree. When you are leaving the main island and crossing the Mckinley Washington Bridge, look on your right for the Hula Girl tree. Probably same person who does mystery tree also dresses up a tree that has Dutch Elms knots in the right places :)

This tree is about 100 feet from the road out in a bog. The bog was dry, which I'm told is unusual, so I was able to walk out and get some closeup pix.
The tree is decorated according to the season. I visited in the summer so the tree was adorned with an ice cooler, blowup beach toys, a child's bike, a straw hat, etc. I'm told the decorated tree has been there many years. The mystery is, who decorates the tree? Nobody seems to know.
