[Jon, 10/13/2014]Junk Art Garden
Dr. Cydd West is the owner and creator of Junk Art Garden. There have been rumors that he is moving from his rented property, but as of May 2009, he and his art are still there.
And evidently, some of his other art is showcased from time to time at various local coffee shops. Currently he has art on display at Folsom Street Coffee House.
"I use my art as placebos for an inner healing to those who view it. It is meant to uplift the heart, to take you out of the moment, give you a new doorway of perception, to question your concepts." - Dr. Cydd West
[Taryn Bays, 07/16/2009]Junk Art Garden - Irons and Shoe Trees
This small home belonging to Dr. Cydd West has all sorts of weird stuff on the outside walls, roof, in the trees and on the fence. Mostly, they have "pyramids" built out of old clothes irons. There are also bowling balls hanging from a tree, chairs and skateboards attached to the sides and roof of the house, as well as a tree trunk with shoes nailed down all over it (a different kind of "shoe-tree" than the one where you toss shoes into the branches.) and much more. I guess it's a fluid display and is always changing. And, although I've lived here 24 years, I've only just now discovered it.

April 2009: Laura Bloon advises "The man who set it up is moving (reported in local news). I haven't been by in a while, but I believe the whole thing will come down if it hasn't already."
