Stopped in Cross Plains on 07/08/09 and the Pink Elephant is in bad shape. His paint is faded and lots of it has flaked off. His glasses are also gone.
[Chris Kee, 07/23/2009]In Feb of 2009 we went by the Pink Elephant and Indian -- they are not in good shape anymore. The Pink Elephant needs a paint job, and his glasses are no longer on. Not sure what happened, but my guess is a storm got them.

The Indian and Pink Elephant holding the martini glass looked to be in good health, considering all the rain they had been having. The fireworks place is now an antique store. We visited these two on July 30th, 2004.
