[Scott Morabito, 08/25/2010]The Soundwalk aural installation is a series of ventilation grates issuing recorded sounds from below the street. Considering the usual fate of any continuous public powered performance, three still operating ain't bad!
Walk along this stretch of sidewalk and you may hear a subway under Denver's streets (there is no subway in Denver), or cows below ground, or even chickens. There is a series of grates along the sidewalk here that are part of a sound installation by a Denver artist named Jim Green. The sounds apparently change over time.
