Pink Elephant

The pink elephant is appearing a bit sickly. Looks like someone tried to swing from his trunk, as it's halfway broken off. The chicken wire under the plaster is showing through on his tusks. Poor guy.

The elephant's owners finally repaired its trunk and tusks in October 2016.

Pink Elephant

Just walked to the Welcome to Las Vegas sign, and can confirm the Pink Elephant is still there. It is on the right side of Vegas Blvd. about 1/2 mile north of the Vegas sign. Appears it may be weathering a bit though.

He has been gone several years. Same as the hotel. My sister and I drive into Vegas a lot and we still miss him.

Debra Jane Seltzer points out that the profusion of photos taken of the elephant in 2009 on one popular photo site suggests that the elephant is still there!
