Jimi Hendrix Statue

Check out the bronze Jimi Hendrix statue (he's rockin' out on his guitar) on Capitol Hill near downtown Seattle. It's on the east side of Broadway north of intersection with Pike Street. Also further north on Broadway are bronze dance-steps in the sidewalk. There are some on both sides of the street, if you search around a little.

[Krista Holley, 01/05/1999]

Jimi was unveiled in January 1997 in a veil of "purple haze" (colored smoke). There's been talk for years of moving him to Seattle's Jimi Hendrix Park, but he's stayed put thus far.
