At a former test track for Studebaker -- now a park -- trees that were planted to spell "Studebaker" in 1937 are still in place. An attraction that could really use a mile-high observation tower.

It's true this is not as exciting from the ground, but it is still worth a visit and a nice stroll to see the tall and mighty trees all lined up. There are signs that indicate which letter you are standing in front of, and large gaps between the trees create spacing between the letters.
[Luv2RV, 09/14/2023]Bendix Woods County Park has trails, picnic areas, and is actually a very nice, mostly wooded park. The Studebaker sign is, of course, its claim to fame, and each letter of the sign is labeled. It's called Bendix Woods because Studebaker sold the woods and the test track to Bendix. Bendix then donated the woods to St. Joseph County.
