In front of the Thomas P Stafford Air and Space Museum, next to the Weatherford Airport, there's a larger than life statue of Lt General Stafford. Inside the museum, you have the opportunity to see a Congressional Space Medal of Honor. Really surprised at the scope of items they had on display. Plan on spending time here.

Weatherford, OK is the boyhood home of Thomas P. Stafford, Lieutenant General, USAF(RET.) and NASA Astronaut (FORMER). There you can visit the Thomas P. Stafford Air and Space Museum.
Weatherford is also home to the annual Hog Calling Contest.
