Glider Inn

Yes, the restaurant changed hands and is now called Mahe. The little plane is still on top of the building, even though there is a big lit up fish sign out in front.

Glider Inn - Vague Recollections

The old Glider Inn was pulled out years ago (Can't remember the exact year), and has been replaced with a sushi restaurant by the name of Mahe. The building is still there, but it's been completely redone.

Glider Inn - Vague Recollections

Cannot seem to find the old restaurant at 1400 Pacific Coast Hwy, Seal Beach, 90740. Was a landmark restaurant that used to be actually on an old airport in Seal Beach. Meadowlark - probably the airfield it was on, is not there anymore. There was a model airplane atop the roof of this hotel. Inside many many photographs of the old aeroplanes, airfields and pilots filled the walls. There was an old bar out the back of the dining room.

Many famous early pilots used to frequent the restaurant and its bar.
