The Rock in the House

Don't bother to visit this any more. The donation box was stolen and they shut it down. The driveway is blocked off and there are no trespassing signs all over. It's sad people have to ruin these fun attractions.

A hand-written sign on the door reads, "Someone took away your privilege of seeing the rock and info about it by taking the money box and destroying the property."

The Rock in the House

We visited the house and we were able to go inside. Looks like at night some squatters come there. So sad to see people trash this. There is a sign that says you use to be able to visit until someone stole the cash box and damaged the home. Lots of really neat pictures inside the home.

The Rock in the House

While the house is still there, visitors are no longer allowed inside. The owners have put a sign on the door saying visits have ended because someone stole the pay box and trashed the place. A sad ending to Rock in the House tours. However you are still able to view the rock from the backyard.

Rock in the House

Rock in the House is still going strong. On a recent weekend trip I pulled into the small lot as the rest of the family rolled their collective eyes. As it turned out, the kids all thought it was pretty cool, and a highlight of the trip.

They have a locked box as you go in, and request a $2/person admission fee.
