Kennesaw, Georgia: Spaceship Earth Sculpture (Gone)
A million-dollar, 175-ton replica of Earth made of quartzite and bronze. 22 feet high. A life-size David Brower, first executive director of the Sierra Club, peeks over the North Pole. Removed by backhoe in December 2022.

- Kennesaw State University. I-75 exit 271 (one exit north of Town Center Mall). Take Chastain Rd west for three traffic lights, then turn right onto Kennesaw State University Drive at the ball fields. Take a quick left onto Marietta Drive, then left again onto Paulding Ave. Park here, then walk north past the parking deck. Spaceship Earth stands on the southeast corner of the Social Sciences Building.

We swung by today, and it's no longer in place. Looks like a recent removal based on the equipment still in place.

This was reported as having fallen. It did, but Eino came back to campus and put it back together on a new pedestal that supports the massive rock structure. So far, it seems that it will stand.
Also, if you can note that the parking on campus is not open (ie: people park without checking in with campus police). If they park there, they will get a ticket and it IS enforceable.
