Visitors can explore a turn-of-the-century village as well as the underground tunnel and caves beneath the cabin where John Brown had slaves hide en-route to Canada. The Mayhew Cabin and Historical Village (previously dubbed John Brown's Cave) is the only "National Park Service Underground Railroad Network to Freedom" site in Nebraska.
