Princeton, Indiana: Castle Car Wash (Closed)

Nutty car wash in the form of a medieval castle, guarded at times by a pink elephant or Robin Hood. Walk around to see everything, or better yet -- get a rinse and wash.

West side of town, on Hwy 65/64/Broadway St., roughly midway between US Hwy 41 and Main St.
Sept. 2011: reported closed.

Castle Car Wash - Closed

As I drove past the castle-themed car wash recently, I was disappointed to find it shut down. The castle still stands, but the whimsical decor, primarily featuring large lawn ornaments, is gone. As I continued motoring I noticed a more modern car wash not far away. That one probably gets the job done, but certainly lacks the charm of the castle.

Castle Car Wash - Pink Elephant, Castle

Didn't see Robin Hood there, but the car wash looks like a castle, and there is a big pink elephant out front.
