A pre-fab, saucer-shaped house sits on a property next to Hwy 276. "Home of the Future" as envisioned by a 1960s Finnish architect.

- From Royse City drive south on FM 548 for five miles. Turn left at the stoplight onto TX-276. Drive two miles. You'll see the Futuro House on the right. It has its own little pull-off for parking.

The Futuro is still collecting graffiti. The stairs nearly fell when I stepped onto them -- they were just leaning against the house and didn't sit in a stable position. The floor has holes in it and it's wobbly. Several other people stopped while we were here. It's easy to pull into the little parking area. I wouldn't bring your kids here. Be careful on the stairs!

Be careful because the floor someone had placed inside is very old and soft.

I wouldn't go inside (aside from the No Trespassing signs) since the floor is pretty unsafe. Great photo op though!

Due to vandalism, the area is blocked off and has "No Trespassing" signs posted on the property.

The Futuro saucer is located closer to Royse City than Quinlan. It's the only UFO saucer, not two.
