Sundance, Wyoming: Sundance Kid Jailed Here

This was horse thief Harry "Sundance Kid" Longabaugh's home town, and the site of a jail where he served time. Outside the former jail the town has erected a statue of the Kid lounging in his cell.

In the old Crook County Courthouse, which is now the Crook County Museum. The statue stands outside, on the northeast corner of US Hwy 14/Cleveland St. and N. 3rd St.

Sundance Kid Jail: Crook County Museum

The original jail was torn down in 1968. In the basement of the old Crook County Courthouse -- now the Crook County Museum -- is the original furniture from the courtroom where the Sundance Kid was put on trial.
