This one is the easiest of the citrus center monuments to get to. You can park on the side of the road and walk over to it. Citrus is spelled wrong on one side.

It's actually in Osceola County, less than 1 mile from the Polk County line. The recent vote (1-12-17) to move it to a more prominent location was turned down. It could use a lot of maintenance, graffiti removal, etc. Not a place I'd want to be in after dark, as evidenced by the signage on the trees by the monument. It was built in 1930, so it's been around for 87 years!

Still there and still spelled wrong. Just driving down the Old Tampa Highway is worth the trip. If you are trying to find it using Google Earth look for Church Rd (that's Labor Camp Rd), and turn right on Old Tampa Hwy and it's there on your left.

I like how "Citrus" is misspelled on only one face of the monument. The brick road is fun too. Overall a cool thing to see, although the neighborhood makes it not exactly a destination to hang out in (not dangerous, but it's a residential trailer park and felt weird to gawk too much).

On the Polk and Oceola County line a street off 532 co. coming in from 532 co is Old Tampa rd., coming in from Ronald Reagan is old Kissimmee Rd. It sets on an old red brick road that was at one time covered with hardtop. The Amtrack railroad runs behind the area and 17/92 highway on the other side of neighborhood.
There is a park near there in Loughman.
