The cars submerged in asphalt at the Hamden Plaza shopping center, Hamden, CT, were slated for removal on July 17, until the owner granted a temporary reprieve.The 20 piece public art project, a low profile fixture of Hamden since 1978, has deteriorated into a public eyesore.
