We went to this location yesterday and sadly it burned last weekend. Owners think a vigil candle sparked the fire.

It is not only the church here, but a wonderful outdoor model train installation and "Lucky Mojo," a shop/mail order business that specializes in "paraphernalia of conjure" like voodoo, religious, etc. All together a wonderful stop!!

The tiny church in Forestville always seems enveloped in a pleasing cocoon of unconventional energy. We popped in just before New Year's, and the Lucky Mojo shop was abuzz with charm-making and positive spell recipe-sharing. The outdoor miniature model railroad didn't seem to be in service that day, and its tiny town looked like a hurricane had struck (winter storm debris loosed from the trees). A miniature version of part of the property includes the labyrinth, and an itty bitty replica of the tiny church. And a pair of twin girls sitting on a bench.

Missionary Independent Spiritual Church, billed as the World's Smallest Church, is 35 square inches smaller than the previous record-holder in New York State.
It is open to the public 7 days a week. Candle services are conducted daily. The altars, under a stained glass window, contain a multitude of deities from all faiths: Christian, Hindu, Taoist, Buddhist, Kemetic, shamanic, tribal, etc. Two smaller shrines outside flank the building. The church has its own Yahoo group with hundreds of members.

The little wooden church, which was filled with candle offerings and statuettes, was destroyed in a fire on July 14, 2017. According to Rev. cat's Facebook page, the church may be rebuilt by the same guy who crafted the mini-tiny church (1:24 scale) for the site's popular model railroad display.
