A delicious burger joint in the middle of nowhere. The population of the town is 2. This place serves up burgers in the only building located in the town, complete with an outhouse. Go early and get a great burger! You can even buy a bumper sticker that says "I dined in Moonshine, IL" for a souvenir.
[Amy, 08/17/2014]Moonshine has a population of 2 who live above the only building in town, if you don't count the outhouse. The building is a general store and in the store is a grill and on the grill Mrs. Tuttle produces the world famous Moonburger. She has served over 2,000 Moonburgers in one day -- a half day, actually, since she always shuts off the grill at half past noon. During nice weather on Saturdays, Moonshine is a very popular destination, so expect lines. Also, in April there is a major motorcycle run to Moonshine. It is so large that they park a reefer truck next to the store to hold the hamburger meat.

Great burgers, and pay via the honor system...good luck finding the Moonshine Store. "Roy Lee and Helen Tuttle bought the old-time (circa 1912) country store in 1982." Moonshine is the home of the world-famous Moonburger.
