Amazingly, my kids got to hold another of Robert's shoes that they had in the back. It was the same size as their baby sister!
[Jeri Wright, 07/11/2011]The size 37 shoe is in the big glass case, along with a memorial card from Robert's funeral. The other shoe is displayed underneath the modern cash register. I specify this because they also have an antique register near the entrance.

Well worth a stop to see giant shoes, plus a very nice full service shoe store. Cuba is a picturesque Route 66 town with historic murals on many of the buildings.
[J Nichols, 03/20/2010]There are two Robert Wadlow shoes at Hayes Shoe Store in Cuba, MO. One is a size 35 and one is a size 37. The outside of the shoe store is also covered by one large mural of what the corner looked like in the early 1900s.
