Parachute Inn
As you can see, the Parachute Inn is very real -- with a Boeing 737 attached! The original owner is retiring and her niece will continue to operate the restaurant. It is a really good place to eat and visit!
[Bryan Quattlebaum, 10/14/2008]Part of this restaurant, located at the airport, is now housed in a real Southwest Airlines Co. Boeing 737. The interior has been restored to give it the original "Southwest" look and the seats have been adjusted to fit the tables. Store your coats in the overhead bins and play in the cockpit.
Owner Donna Robertson is there most days and serves Southern home-style cooking and seafood. There is also a military museum across the street.
