We had difficulty finding these. The key is to get on the bike/walking path and follow it and the stream to behind the Marriott. There is also a park parking lot off of Sullivan Lane and Park Avenue. Park there, walk to bike path, turn right and the shoe trees are a 5 minute walk on the left. Bring a picnic as there are benches for eating as well.

The local Marriott timeshare condo complex has absorbed this group of shoe trees and made it part of their offerings. Perhaps they are also offering their protection as well. It is, as noted, a "park" of several trees.

The shoe tree has grown into shoe "trees." This spot now includes three trees next to each other, chock full. Located at the stated address, Marriott Summit Watch behind the Lodge and Ontario buildings.
[Kasey Fletcher, 08/10/2011]I've been in town 21 years, and the shoe tree was there when I came. I believe the current one is not the same as the one I first saw, because there has been development in the area and the stream channel is not the same.
