Lighthouse Retreating from the Ocean
Closed December and January, but you can still walk the grounds for free.
[Joe Teeples, 02/26/2012]Grays Harbor Lighthouse is Washington state's tallest. This is your standard lighthouse, with trips up to the top, but what's interesting about it is that it used to be only a few hundred feet from the breaking surf, and now, due to accretion, is almost a mile from the high tide line. Tours are given on a daily basis by the local Westport-South Beach Historical Society.
Also known as the Westport Lighthouse.
