World's Tallest Mennonite

Mr. Mennonite could use a bath, but he's still there standing tall.

[Krista M, 08/27/2017]

The limestone sculpture of a Mennonite farmer was dedicated in 1942 and restored in 2000. Accumulated grime makes it somehow threatening, in an un-Mennonite way.

Statue is a bit dirty but very cool photo op. The park it's located in is a perfect spot to play and eat, very shaded. They also have a nice outdoor pool. Worth the drive assuming you are driving through Newton.
