Mushroom hours have changed to every Monday evening during the summer. Worth a stop to peek inside!

The Mushroom building is a vintage gas station that has been saved by the Dassel Area Historical Society. Every Wednesday evening throughout the summer there is entertainment provided by local talent, and you can get a great brownie sundae, popcorn, root beer float, or lemonade. We stopped by when the local Norwegian folk dance group was performing along with a group of local musicians.

We happened to be driving through Dassel and passed a most unusual building on the main street - The Mushroom House. It has an old Mobil gas pump in the front, but I believe it was only for decoration. Apparently the building is used on the weekends as a snack bar, complete with picnic table on the front lawn. There was no other information other than a "Mushroom House" menu board stored inside the building.
