Lobby Display of Big Game Taxidermy

I worked there. It's the most disgusting display of savagery that you can imagine. Revolting. This place will leave you with nightmares if you love animals.

My father was a manager for IMI and I was in the company's office several times while I was growing up. Founder Pete "Skunk" Irving (don't know how he got his nickname, but that was what I most often heard him called) was a big game hunter. There was a polar bear and brown bear mounted standing up at their full height and lots of other animals in the lobby and offices. He also had a game farm that included live zebras, camels, llama, prairie dogs, and others. We would often drive through it when we had house guests, and I believe school groups would also tour. The Irvings built a house in the middle of the farm when they retired.

Lobby Display of Big Game Taxidermy

Large collection of various wild animals (taxidermy) bear, rhino, all kinds of hoofed animals, even a giraffe head -- a lot more than I can remember. This fills the large lobby of Irving Materials Inc.'s corporate office building (a building material company). I would assume that the company founder was at one time a big game hunter.
