The actual address to use for GPS purposes is 500 Lincoln Way for the Iowa Department of Transportation building. There's a small lot where you can park and walk to the statues.

I have to admit this is a pretty ugly sculpture. I usually like the metal arts and can usually appreciate sculptures like this. Not a very becoming likeness for us ladies to be proud.

[Jack Steck, 03/01/2010]An update on the "wooden lady". The ugliest statue I've ever seen in my life was taken down last year, to my delight, as the wood was rotting. Amazingly, it was replaced with an identical metal one. Lucky us.
