Metal cow and calf on east side of Highway 5 standing in an open field. Visible from both sides of the Highway. Located approximately 6 miles south of Yreka and 1 mile south of exit 770. Someone placed a baseball cap on the adult cow statue.
[Kerin Fassler, 06/10/2022]Metal sculpture of a cow (and now also a calf) along the east side of the freeway. A bit further north you will find Priscilla, the dragon queen of the Sierras. Same idea, metal sculpture, east side of I-5. Makes my many trips of 30 years up and down I-5 so enjoyable. I look for these pets each time I go by and am so very pleased to see the addition of the calf.
[Spaci, 08/09/2014]There's a baby cow now. I guess you can call it Moo-Donna and child.
[Sistah Vaca, 06/15/2014]
The rusty cow on the side of I-5 is named "Moo Donna." The city of Yreka bought her from artist Ralph Sterrit to signify the town's southern boundaries. Priscilla, the dragon, is no longer in front of Ralph's studio, but on the northern edge of town. She has solar lighting to illuminate her at night.
[lpam, 11/19/2010]Item as described, metal cow on the side of the freeway, not very neat because there is nowhere to stop by it!
