Another masterful attraction by sculptor Claes Oldenburg. What makes this one extra special is the accompanying plaque that lists what is and isn't appropriate behavior around a giant broom and dustpan. The don'ts include: touching, climbing on, and/or caressing the broom. The dos include chatting about cleaning products and blaming the broom for the degradation of contemporary morals. Can you do what you want with the dustpan? I wouldn't risk it.

[Joe Boulter, 10/09/2007]The 35-ft. tall metal sculpture, entitled "Big Sweep," is the work of -- who else? -- Cossje van Bruggen and Claes Oldenburg, of Big Stamp and Big Other Things fame. Commissioned by the museum, completed in 2004, and installed in 2006.
