The World's Largest Cone Top Beer Can is nestled in the bluffs of the Mississippi River in the quaint town of Potosi. It was erected next to the Potosi Brewery, which closed down in 1972 after 120 years of operation. The bottom of the Beer Can opens up into a bar, serving events at the nearby Holiday Gardens Event Center.
The Potosi Brewery Foundation was established in an attempt to construct a microbrewery in the old brewery's place. In June 2004, the American Breweriana Association selected the brewery to house its national museum, beating out both Milwaukee and St Louis.
Potosi, the Catfish Capital of Wisconsin, is also home to the World's Longest Main Street and the historic St. Johns Mine.
