- In Roosevelt Park. I-287 exit 1A. Drive north on US Hwy 1 for one mile. At the light, take the jughandle on the right onto CR 660/Grandview Ave. Cross Hwy 1. Once you do, you'll see the park on the right. Turn right onto Pine Drive, into the park, then quickly turn left into a small parking lot. Walk across Pine Drive, past the Veterans Memorial, to the fountain.

Light Dispelling Darkness
We were able to go when the fountain was dry, which was great for being able to see the figures up close.

"Light Dispelling Darkness" is a unique sculpture and fountain in Roosevelt Park. The sculpture depicts a unified world where Science, Industry and Education dispel War, Famine, Pestilence, Death, Greed and Materialism.
Originally created as a WPA project in 1937, the art Deco terra cotta is by sculptor Waylande Gregory. It was recently renovated.
