Spiffy new paint job on the dinosaur (not sure what the peach color is about), but sadly all alone in the parking lot of what looks like an abandoned building.
[Kathy & Ron W X N, 07/15/2016]The dinosaur has just been repainted to match the colors of a similar dinosaur in a mural at nearby Dinosaur National Monument. The makeover was performed by 38 volunteers from the Intermountain Natural History Association, which owns the building next to the dinosaur. A saddle that used to allow tourists to poses riding the dinosaur was not returned as part of the makeover. We hope it wasn't thrown away, and that it comes back soon.

The dinosaur "saddle" is gone, so it is less of a photo-op. One of the eyes is also missing. The gift shop in the same parking lot is also closed.

Dinosaur statue on the way to Dinosaur National Monument, Vernal, UT, in 2002. In the parking lot of a store right outside the monument.

The neck appears bent by design, to allow easy mounting for a "saddle'em up" photo opportunity. Weird, but a similar dinosaur at Petrified Creatures, Richfield Springs, NY, has the same fractured neck!
