Freehold, New Jersey: Adventure to Health, Transparent Woman
In Adventure to Health, kids learn about the human body in interactive exhibits and walking along a giant spine with flashing lights. But if the Transparent Woman is gone from the lobby, we'd skip this place.

It was completely misleading. You have to go into an office that the people knew nothing about it and looked at me like I was crazy. I was so disappointed and looked like an idiot.

We have a "transparent woman" in our lobby (we have had her for over 15 years), but our latest exhibit is called Adventure to Health.
Walking into A2H is like entering the human body cavity -- you see a lit spinal cord above you with chasing lights to represent the circulation of blood. In front of you are "ribs" which separate each of 19 interactive stations which explore the functions of various parts of the body.
Visitors usually gasp when they first enter the room. We've had about a dozen people say it's like having a little piece of Disneyland right here in New Jersey.

We'd last heard that the Transparent Woman was displayed in the lobby (for decades), but if she's gone then this place has much less appeal for Roadside America.
