I was already in Cincinnati, so I added this to my list of things to do. The sign is still there and in remarkably good shape.

The giant Indian sign on Vine St. looks great! Painted metal just seems more classy than fiberglass.

This is a car lot in Cincinnati, Oh. The Giant Indian has been there since the 1950s or '60s. The place used to be called Cherokee Motors, and the catch line on their TV commercials was "Cherokee Motors.........where Paddock meets Vine at the big Indian sign."
It used to have lights but they're gone. It appears that it has been repainted in 2007.

Today only the metal sign remains, still beloved, though there has been occasional recent pressure to remove it as offensive to Native Americans.
