Train-Augmented McDonald's

The train was removed on March 12, 2018, and is now on the property of the Newport Narragansett Bay Railroad Company.

Train-Augmented McDonald's

Not only is the train still there, but they also have lobster rolls ($8.99). The lobster rolls may be seasonal though.

Train-Augmented McDonald's

The train is still there; the other tipster must have gone to the other McDonald's just down the road, which is newly remodeled. However, if you plan to visit, keep in mind that the franchise owner no longer wants the train; it's being moved to a train museum. Cost of maintenance and repairs were the reasons given. Also, you can no longer eat inside the train car. The restaurant is using it for storage, and there is a vinyl sign covering the entrance from inside the building. So hurry before it is gone. I still think it was worth the trip and a few photos.

It is gone. They just remodeled. What a mistake?

Train Thru McDonald's

This unusual McDonald's has gone all out with the railroad theme. An authentic railroad car [sticking out of the side of the restaurant] provides additional seating that is accessible from the dining area.
