In front of a Shell gas station near the interstate there is a large chicken wearing a chef's hat and holding a fork. The gas station is part of the Shady Lawn Travel Center, which is a truck stop and has a large convenience store that sells hot food, so the chicken is probably to advertise that feature of the business. It was a fun surprise to find.

The Giant Chicken is covered in graffiti and is awesome. Truck stop also selling giant chicken shirts -- in case you want to remember that time you saw a chicken and got gas.

The chicken is alive and better than ever. Incidentally, so is the truck stop. The chicken has undergone a color change and has new utensils.

The Shady Lawn Truck Stop is closed and appears to be in the process of demolition. The chicken is still there but may not be for long.
