Dr Pepper Museum

Another paean to free enterprise (and one that, perhaps, takes itself more seriously than Enterprise Square): The third floor of the Dr Pepper Museum is home to the "Free Enterprise Institute." It's not much more than two rooms. One contains wall-to-wall plaques with the names of important capitalists (soft-drink industry moguls receiving disproportionate representation).

In the other room, two videos are on a continuous loop. One is a compendium of Dr Pepper commercials. (If you never considered the effects of 20 solid minutes of Dr. Pepper jingles on an otherwise average brain, you should visit just for kicks. Or maybe not.) The second video is a history of free enterprise, narrated by the guy who does all the voice overs for Dairy Queen commercials here in Texas. Among other jingoistic claims, the video intimates that capitalism was born in Waco, Texas, as a result of the holy business principles of the Dr Pepper corp.
