The Mr. Potato Head at Hasbro Headquarters appears to be a pretty popular attraction. While I was there snapping my photo, two other groups stopped by.
[W.G., 08/31/2009]The Uncle Sam Potato Head has also been rescued from oblivion and restored. But he's over in Bristol, mounted on a trailer, so you have to be lucky to spot him.
There's a Mr. Potato Head Statue at the Hasbro offices on Newport Ave in Pawtucket, RI. There's also one in the RI Building at the Big E (Eastern States Exposition) in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Both potatoes have vanished in the past on occasion, but it's always to patch cracks and get a fresh coat of paint. They've stood outside for over 30 years. We expect that they'll be back.
