If you're browsing around Portland and looking for some free/cheap things to explore, see Kidd's Toy Museum! We spent about 45 minutes looking through the collection and had several "Oh wow, look at this!" moments.
[Stephanie Hill, 05/01/2017]The Kidd Toy Museum is an amazing collection of toys. Many are cast-iron banks from the early 1900s, trains, trucks, and German Steiff animals. The collection is overseen by Mr. Kidd's daughter, who is happy to chitchat about any of the toys. You could wander around this place for hours just marveling at all of the super rare and interesting toys.
