Robert Wadlow's shoe and life size statue are on display at Snyder's Shoe Store in Manistee, MI. Manistee is the town Robert visited in 1940 to be the grand marshall of the 4th of July parade.
While in Manistee he developed an ulcer due to his leg braces rubbing, which led to an infection and the ultimate demise of the "Gentle Giant." Many of the towns residents still fondly remember meeting him on his final journey.
