The crows are still there. All 3 of them, but they're NOT, to quote another tipster, "About a half-mile south of I-81 exit 50, visible only from the southbound lanes." Actually, they're 1 & 1/2 miles from there. But they're there!
[Ed & Helen Plants, 10/15/2008]While the crows are an enticing sight, do not stop to view them. My in-laws had the misfortunate mishap of stopping to switch drivers and letting my baby sister-in-law photograph the crows at the same time. A law enforcement officer came and ticketed them (even though their stop was legitimate) saying that he "didn't believe they stopped to switch drivers but to look at 'those stupid' crows." If we treated our tourists like this in Florida our economy would fall flat!

The giant crows (three) are still there, but it appears that they've been moved closer to the highway. Best visibility is from southbound lanes due to rock formations obscuring the northbound view.
[Barry Joy, 10/24/2004]August 2007 - Crow creator Bill Salisbury told a friend of ours "he never moved them but it sounded like a fun idea...."
Heading South on Rt. 81, just past the Alexandria Bay exit, are three GIANT Black Crows. You have to look real fast. They are in a field on the right. You can only see them when you are heading south on Rt. 81., not when you're heading north.
[Lorrie Donohue, 11/18/2002]Jan. 2005 - Paul Tomblin reports he's visited several times to take photos.
I also saw the crows on the west side of I-81, just south of the Canadian border, but, now there are three! Wish I'd had a camera!
