It's a statue of a large chicken...I'm assuming a rooster...crowing on a platform on a large pole. He presides over the parking lot of Lee's Chicken, a Lincoln fried chicken institution. It's been there since I can remember, and Lee's has been in Lincoln forever so I assume the chicken has been there as long as the restaurant. The restaurant decor needs some serious updating, but the food is good...that is if you don't mind eating a week's worth of calories in a single sitting. Also, there is an old lady that has worked there for years that plays piano...she'll accommodate almost any request.
