This 10 by 14 ft. Healing Chapel seats eight in its four pews and is open to travelers 24 hours a day. Janice Middleton has continued to maintain it since husband Lloyd passed away in 2006.

I believe this little church may have once stood at Noah's Ark Zoo in Jackson, Ohio. It has been closed since I was a little girl, but it sure resembles the one that I remember!
[Lydia Hall, 01/29/2022]This is a very sweet little church and easily accessible from a rest area, but it's not kept up the way it used to be. A warning: watch your step in the sunny garden patches around the sides of the chapel. After snapping a photo of my daughter in front of the little rock garden, I realized that the "fake" copperhead sunning itself there was very real!

Lights didn't seem to work, and it looked as though people were leaving offerings of cans and food at the altar. Great rainy day venture with my fiance.

The kitschy religious decor and entertaining guest book ("find the $20 I hid in the bible!," "Jesus help me and Brittany be friends 4 ever!") were gone this time when we dropped by. A hole burrowed in the wall under the light switch contained homemade crosses and scraps of paper with prayers, however Ill-advised and fire-hazardy that might be.
