Museum of Northern Adventure - Dioramas
"Alaska's history is presented in 24 realistic dioramas, featuring life-sized figures and sounds. The museum, housed in a historic railroad building, has exhibits on homesteading, prospecting, wildlife and famous characters."
On my visit the entrance was an innocuous flight of stairs blocked with a rope. Had to ask at the sales counter to gain entry. The description above is from the tourist brochures, but don't let its banality discourage you from visiting. This is one of the rare Alaskan Roadside America "must see" attractions, in my opinion!
